new seasons

The boys are busy with their new seasons. Working hard for several weeks in pre-season before school actually starts. Doing what they love every day! 
 

bike ride

 Izzy and I took the first bike ride of the season. We went on a new trail while Harkin was at soccer practice and rode 8 miles. It was great to spend time with her but my body was sore. We are planning on doing it twice a week during May and June. Hopefully I can keep up with her.

Harkin and I spent a great day together over the weekend. We woke up extremely early and headed down to MA. 

His club was participating in the New England day at the Revolution. His team played two mini games against teams from New Hampshire and Maine. They won both. We had a full day to explore the stadium and went to the top of the lighthouse where we could see the entire stadium and the Boston skyline. It was pretty amazing. 

Then we got to watch the MLS game. CF Montreal vs New England Revolution. It was a super fun experience although a little chilly for the beginning of April :(

It was fun to have the day with Harkin. He'll be grown before I know it and out of the house like his big brothers.

 Another year, another show. She did an awesome job and had so much fun this year. She really loves skating and I love watching her.

tournament champions

We had a hot and long weekend of soccer. Harkin's team worked hard and they won the tournament for his age group. These kids have been together for over 5 years now and really have come together as a team. So happy for them. 

soccer: upgraded

 Will has been working towards one goal: To play professional soccer.

He has been playing men's soccer at the collegiate level for the past three years and has been working so hard towards the next step.

This summer it is coming true. He made a National Premier Men's Soccer team. He is playing in Hershey PA for the Hershey FC. This is a big deal and we are so very  proud of him. 

It hasn't been an easy road and he has had several disappointments along the way, but kept on persevering. This is by no means the end but we can't be happier for him and love watching him play.

last runs

 So glad we hit the slopes for our last runs last Friday. This past week has been rainy and the trail count is significantly lower. The day we went, April 18th, was a beautiful bluebird day. A great way to end our season. I am happy they still enjoy skiing with their Mama as they are so much better than me at this point but they put up with me and where I want to go. Love my babes.  

ice skating

 So my goal of writing more often this year has not happened as regularly as I had wanted. There are so many things that I have missed that I am going to play catchup for a few posts.

So from October to February Issabelle was participating in ice skating lessons and then at the very end they had a performance. She has worked really hard this year and was asked to be in the opening show as well as her regular class. It was kind of a big deal. She has really taken to the sport and would want to go on extra days to just practice by herself. I am very happy for her that she as found something that she really enjoys, although she does do several thigs already. We had fun watching her preform and are proud of her.

initiated

An exciting week for Will. He was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Chapter, a national college athlete honor society, for his hard work in academics and athletics. We are so proud of him. 

It has been a hard two years for him and this team so I am very proud of his persistence and his unwillingness to give up. He has had to face such adversity but it has only made him a stronger young man and better person. We love you Will. You are awesome!!

another promotion

 

9 months of hard work and she is now a high yellow belt. Out of all of her activities this is her absolute favorite. We are taking the summer break, which she is not happy about, but we will be back in the fall.

color run

 This past weekend was perfect weather for the color run. It was a 1.5 mile run through our town and as you ran you got covered in powder. These two thought it was rather fun.  I had fun being with them but not so sure about the whole color powder thing.

 Harkin was so excited to be able to wear Eric's soccer shirt he wore when he was younger. He is loving his soccer season this spring and is doing very well.
