fun run

The boys participated in a kids fun run last week. William ran about a 1/4 of a mile while Landon's race was maybe an 1/8 of a mile.

They have been running every morning around our driveway(it is like a track). Trying to see if they improve their time each day. Kinda a fun way to kick-start the day.

The race was fun but HOT HOT HOT. Almost 80*.  They each received a ribbon for partcipating.

And while his big brothers were running hard, Harkin took a nap:)

off the needles onto baby

I had such hopes that I would be making sweater after sweater for this little guy. I started this sweater before I gave birth. I was working on it in the hospital, helping me relax. Then we came home and life began with a newborn.

It is suppose to fit up to 3 months and that is exactly where he is at. It is a bit short but is a perfect little sweater for our cool summer days. A mix of cotton, silk and wool, it feels delightful. He will wear it day after day to get use out of it before he outgrows it totally.

And now onto the next project.

3 month photo shoot

 

 My sweet boy is 3 months old already! He is such a little man, so lively and wants to always be involved in everything. We lay in bed snuggling and telling stories.  He is such a happy baby and we love him so!

rainy day baking

Mini-strawberry cheesecakes and half moon cookies were made during some long rainy days. The boys look through our cookbooks and love trying out new recipes.  It is always fun to taste and see what we do and don't like. I love having time with each of them to offer help and guidance. It's always good days when we bake!

The joy it brings me to listen to all the boys play together. They giggle and make Harkin "talk". What they imagine he might just be saying to them. Oh, how his face lights up when he sees either of them. It is so adorable.  The big boys simple adore Harkin and he is in awe of them. It is truly wonderful.
