the day to day
The past week or so we have been a bit under the weather and have just been at home enjoying all our new gifts and one another. Trying to get over being sick before their sister makes an appearance. And catching up on some sleep, since it will be severely lacking soon. The weather has been extremely cold so it has been good to snuggle and be inside all together. We are just about on the mend which is a good thing.
new years eve
Last year we started a "tradition" as the boys now call it. We had fondue. So it was again this year. All the boys had fun dipping and cooking their own food. It spreads dinner out so the night seems to go by faster, since they have a goal of staying up till midnight. Harkin went to bed at his regular time, in which I got to take a little nap, so I could make it with my boys. We watched a movie and then had about a half an hour to have a little sparkling juice and shout Happy New Year at midnight. They even stood by the clock to prove it to
G & G.
It has been a few days since I have been here. I am taking my days slow and might not post as regularly this year. I have lots of other things that I would like to do. This is a good spot to record our days and for far away family to see photos. It just might be only a few days a week. I don't have a specific plan in mind quite yet.
christmas day
christmas eve
We spent a quiet day at home. Boxes arrived from far away family so Mama said it was OK to open gifts from aunts and uncles. It was fun seeing Harkin's reaction to the presents. He wanted us to open them for him but then would be so excited as to what was inside. It made for a fun evening. Then there was the traditional reading of The Night Before Christmas from Daddy. And off to bed in hopes of a bright and early morning!
cookies for santa
William made the sugar cookies and then the boys decorated a few for themselves and one each for Santa.
