spinning turkeys
We made a fun thanksgiving decoration this weekend. We love spin art around here but the addition of a turkey made it just perfect. Thanks to Kiwi co. for the idea. The most fun was spinning and spinning, but then their own drawings onto the turkeys made them simply adorable. And they are both pretty proud of theirs.
adventuring: at the museum
We went for a day out to the local children's museum. We have been there only about 3 times. Issabelle and Harkin had a blast. Will and Landon were fine for a bit and got to watch a imax movie. They were done before the two littles were ready. So I challenged them to help their little brother and sister to build and create. They ended up having fun for over an hour. It was a much needed day out and good fun.
first snow play
It came fast and furious yesterday afternoon and then was gone by this morning but these two had fun for an hour or two while it lasted. Our first significant snow of the season. They had fun trying to sled and throwing snow balls at one another. The little joys of life.
pumpkins
Issabelle's, Harkin's, Landon's, William's
Pumpkin decorating was such fun this year. Everyone was really excited about their pumpkins. Each one had their own ideas. Harkin and Issabelle drew theirs for Daddy to cut out. Landon did his all by himself. William scoured the internet for ideas and then abandoned those and came up with his own. They all came out pretty cool.
Then we had these cute little white pumpkins. We colored with markers and added stickers to some. Others we melted crayons. Those were pretty awesome and fun to make. We're going to try it out on canvas soon.
I love how we can make a simple activity into such a fun family day.
halloween night
It was a bit of chilly and rainy night but fun was had by all. Although we did a quick loop in town they still ended up with plenty of candy and were all so nice to share with William since he no longer actually trick or treats anymore. Happy Halloween
