big man's birhtday

Late February my big man turned 7!!!  He was super excited to wake up and open presents from his brothers and sister. We ate a quick breakfast and then headed out for bit of a drive. We were going to try out a new mountain today. It took us just under 2 hours to get there and we lucked out. It was such a beautiful day. By the time we left it was 50* which is rare in February. The snow was a bit sticky by the end. Harkin and I took a long trail that wrapped around the mountain and we had to really skate our way for half of it. The first part was black diamonds moguls which he was thrilled to take mama on. William also took him on  a lot of blacks so it was a great day of skiing for him.
Landon had to spend the day in the lodge but we got to hang for a bit at lunch.

Once we got home we had Harkin's favorite dinner. Cobb salad sandwich and then a cherry cheesecake that William made. We sang and opened more presents.

It was a fun and exciting way to celebrate our sweet man. Happy Birthday Harkin Ford!

In early February I took Harkin out on a date. We went out to dinner with one of his best friends. On the way there we stopped to notice the amazing sun set. Just gorgeous!  Harkin took the photo himself and was super happy about it.

Harkin was super excited to be having a party. This was his first real birthday party(after I failed miserably last year). So we had it out at our local bowling alley. (This was over a month ago. I am late getting to the party ha ha..)  Anyhow everyone had a fun time and it was a success :)

early february storm

Almost 3 feet of snow.  It was one of the biggest of the winter. My young man in the orange was able to enjoy it for a few days and then he unfortunately broke his collar bone and was then out for the season. He was a good sport about it though. Spent many days at home by himself, thankfully he loves to read and kept buy building legos. It's been a long couple of months for him but there is an end in sight...

Issabelle made lunch from her cookbook. Tiny tacos and a fruit and veggie man. She had tons of fun and was super excited that everyone ate her meal. Everyone loves helping in the kitchen.
