the first day

Super excited it was December 1st. The two littles started with a basketful of goodies from their aunt and uncle. They get to  pick one present a day - so much fun. 

Then mama gave out her advent calendars, which everyone is really happy about. Something different this year where they get a small toy to build into a Lego, playmobile or a baby bobble head. So cute. Makes each day a little bit different.

Then we spent the afternoon decorating the house. It was fun and there were no quarrels this year.  Everyone always wishes we had more. Each year they add a new handmade decoration so we are building our collection slowly.

This was the first time in a long time I took our the old glass ornaments from my family. It was such a hit. Especially for Izzy as she loved to very carefully put them into the bowl.

I am looking forward to a slow and happy month of fun and festive activities at home.
