first time out

I took the kids off of our property for the first time in two months last Wednesday. It was a beautiful day and we headed to the town forest. It was a nice hike and felt good to get out in the fresh air away from the house, just for a change of scenery.

golf date

All the boys got a golf membership this summer for a job well done over the past year. The golf course opened last week and the big boys had a chance to go on Thursday. Today was Harkin's first time. He went with just Will to get used to it and know the proper etiquette. He was super excited. He has new clubs and can't wait to play with his both his brothers on a weekly basis.

outside play

Spring time in Vermont. Crazy weather days. One day it almost reaches 60* the next day it is cold, rainy with wind or maybe even a little snow. The kids are outside in all of it no matter what. It is a rare day they are not- mama pushes them on their most reluctant of days. They have been playing in the sandbox, flying kites in the rain, going on treasure hunts and the top choice- soccer. Thanks to a generous Christmas gift card they were able to join together and finally buy a real goal.  This has been a long time in the making. So although there have been moments of bickering, most days there is laughter and fun, which does warm a mama's heart.  We are managing and keeping healthy, happy and together.

izzy bits

This is my sweet little girl who as I watch every day I am realizing she is not so little anymore. She is getting so big and becoming much more independent, which is a good thing, but at the same time a little bittersweet for this mama. I am so glad we are home and have slow days so there is more time to just be and spend time together.
Our sweet librarian sent us the face tattoos so she was ladybug girl for a few days. Happy days.
