a boy and his dog
These two were enjoying some snuggle time on a wonderful summer afternoon. Nothing like a bond with a dog, who will give you unconditional love always.
early february storm
Almost 3 feet of snow. It was one of the biggest of the winter. My young man in the orange was able to enjoy it for a few days and then he unfortunately broke his collar bone and was then out for the season. He was a good sport about it though. Spent many days at home by himself, thankfully he loves to read and kept buy building legos. It's been a long couple of months for him but there is an end in sight...
2016
A new year full of promise and new moments to come. Trying to bring more balance, organization and simplicity to our lives as we venture on. Watching as my eldest becomes a teenager and youngest a toddler all while have two fun loving boys in between. Our life as 6 has been wonderful so far and I can only hope for many more amazing family moments.
Last night Eric and I quietly celebrated being together for 20 years. We reminisced where we were so long ago and how much has happened in these years. It hasn't always been easy but we have stood by one another and made it through. I am so very thankful for his love and friendship. My life would not be complete without him.
Our family is my life and this year I strive to be a better wife, mom and homemaker. I am working on taking better care of myself so I can have the energy to be there for them. I wish to be more creative, patient and loving in all my tasks.
This is my life. These are my memories. These are my moments.

oh, colorful yarn
By accident, today, we stumbled across some beautiful locally raised hand dyed yarn. While at archery one of the moms was organizing her yarn to prepare for the farmers market. I had a project in mind for Issabelle so I was able to purchase some lovely purple for a new sweater vest. Harkin was in love with all the colors and wanted one of each. I do not have a project planned for him so I said we would have to find something first and then we could purchase the colors of his choice. They both had such a grand time just looking at it all though. Issabelle loved putting the yarn back into the tubs after it was taken out for the moms to look at. I love how opportunities can present themselves like this. I was in love with all if the colors and had such a hard time resisting the urge to buy more.
on top of the world
It seemed we were up there and felt it with the cold winds. A couple of weekends ago we did the whole touristy thing and drove our car to the top of MT. Mansfield over in Stowe. Not the best choice on my part as it was the beginning of leaf peeping and the line was rather long to get to the top, but we made it. We got out and walked around a bit and did the whole picture thing. Then continued on our way. It was a Sunday drive that we probably could have done without but we have pictures at least. One day when it is not so crowded we will go back and actually do the hikes..

waiting for the car
We had to get the car fixed earlier this month. While waiting we walked to the town green and hung out for a bit. The boys were off playing soccer while little miss had fun standing and posing for her mama. She was so proud of herself for standing up.
a rare afternoon
The day before the boys' race they had a series of clinics to prepare them for what was to come. After doing a little shopping and sharing ice cream with Harkin we went back to the resort and hung out under a tree, enjoying the beautiful view and delightful winds.
Eric took the afternoon off to hang out with us and we were able to get a few pictures of mama and babes. Not too often am I in front of the camera. Or to we get to just "hang out" with Daddy. It was a pretty relaxing afternoon with lots of snuggles and loving.
a knitted dress
I finished a dress for Issabelle. It is a little big but will hopefully last for a long time. It will become more like a sweater in the colder months. She was more than happy to give me a little photo shoot to show it off. She LOVES to sit up and see all that is going on and was so happy to feel the grass in her toes and even pulled some out. Harkin was running around the tree so she was all giggles for him.
