birthday fun
William was in PA for his birthday so we made a quick trip down to see him. We got there just in time to watch his game and then we had a late night dinner, hence opening presents in the parking garage as there really wasn't any other place. It was fun to see him and can't believe my sweet baby is 22 already. Such a wonderful young man. So proud of the man he has become.
this is 12
So Harkin turned 12 way back in February. He finally got to go snow biking which was something he has wanted to do for the past three years. Thanks to the great people at Jay we were able to make it happen and he absolutely loved it. He picked it up so quickly and was going through the woods and doing spins by the days end. He also managed to run into a tree and broke the ring, which many people don't do but it was all good.
We came home and had a yummy dinner made by dad and blondies with ice cream. Happy Birthday to my sweet young man. Can't believe its been 12 years already. Going by way too fast.
double digits
Izzy turned 10 a couple of weeks ago. Time is flying by too quickly for me. I still am picturing a little girl in my head but when I look at her she is becoming a young lady. We had fun at the bowling ally and then home to her favorite birthday dinner of ceasar salad and nachos. It is still weird not having the two oldest boys here to celebrate but Izzy was able to talk to them both as they remembered to call their little sister.
Hello 2025
mothers day
It was a busy day of kids activities. 3 soccer games and a dance show. But in the middle we were all able to have lunch together. That's all I need. Some time with my kiddoes. They are a good looking bunch and so very sweet.(most of the time ;).
easter happenings
There was an egg hunt that lasted all of three minutes. And now we have a ton of plastic eggs. Yay!
Then there was a nice family brunch at the mountain. It was great having William home for a week. He just hung out and relaxed and played with his younger siblings. He'll be back in 4 weeks for the summer which will be a change once again for everyone, but good.
January 1, 2022
How crazy that a new year has begun. The past six months I have not blogged at all and so much has happened. Half of the year missing. I will need to write a year in review maybe but for now I am hoping just to get in more time this year recording our days here once again. Last night we did our annual fondue which everyone loved. It was a pretty mellow night as I was tired from working at the mountain and Eric and Will needed to get up early this morning.
We are wishing for a happy and healthy 2022!
memorial day
Happy Memorial Day. We will have a sweet ending to our day. My all time favorite coconut cupcakes with a very festive topping.
there was a birthday
This seems like so long ago when it was only a few short weeks. April has seem to go on forever, but that is another story. Anyhow we had a wonderful day celebrating our sweet Landon who is now 15 and has his learners permit and is practicing driving already!!
We went to a virtual game place where they could play all sorts of games on the screen. They all seemed to enjoy it and then we were home to dinner, pie and a movie.
He is towering over his mother but will always be my sweet landini chili bean. Love you always.
easter
We had a full but fun day. The ester bunny did make it to our house much to our surprise. He left the bowls of candy in the bathroom, which everyone thought was SO silly.
Then Eric, I and the two little ones headed to the mountain for what we think may be our last day. The two big boys stayed at home and played disc golf at our neighbors.
We got home early afternoon so there was still plenty of time to play outside while our Easter meal was cooking. We had a yummy dinner and dessert and a wonderful day.
Spring is creeping its way back this week, and everyone wants to be outside all day long!!
