* this week was a tough one, full of bickering, way too much yelling and overall yuckiness

* by night all I wanted to do was crawl in bed and fall into a deep sleep,  not that that happened. Harkin wakes often and usually with some sort of scream these days.

* soccer finally finished so now we can have our evenings back

* Harkin went from calling me mama to mommy- his little voice melts my heart

* rain, rain and more rain

* working hard on making a big breakfast for my growing boys so I can tame their hunger beasts

* love watching my boys get so excited over new books from our library trips

* played a new game with the boys "egyptians"

* had robotics class and horseback riding lessons

* baked corn muffins and apple turnovers with William

* love listening to the gentle sounds of Landon's guitar playing

* Harkin got his first toothbrush (we had been using a finger brush) and loves to do it himself, after mommy does it.

* Harkin is 20 months old today!

* hoping for nicer weather this weekend and some calmness among our house

It's been awhile since I have written one of these posts. I was reading through past ones and decided I really like them. They are just little moments of our past week that I want to remember. Things that make me smile and sometimes those that don't, but that is where we were at at that moment.

*Guitar is going well for Landon. I love listening to him practice. Such a sweet noise.*

*Harkin has learned the word "mine". Cute but also not.*

*The weather has been a bit on the chili side and we had our first fire tonight since I was so cold after Will's game. My husband is so sweet.*

*I was sick in bed for a day. The boys were amazing. They took care of the house and Mama and Harkin.*

*Knitting every day which just makes my day.*

*Every morning when Harkin wakes up, the first thing he does is call Wu Wu(William) and Chi Chi(Landon), while banging on his door. He wants them to come play with him. They are not always awake yet, but then they are.*

*My husband is the silliest man I know. Every night at dinner he makes the evening so much fun for the boys. They so look forward to it.*

* Made fried chicken tacos one night for dinner and the food hadn't gotten to the table before everyone was eating them. They said this was one of the best dinners I make. Even Harkin was eating one.*

*William told me today he wants to open and run a dessertery. You know a bakery but just with sweets.*

*Huge puzzle mania going on right now. There has been one done every day and then we started a 500 piece together.*

*Working hard on getting lots of rest and sleep.*

With that I am off to sleep. Early games tomorrow.

*This little man knows just how much he is loved by his big brothers*

*The big boys are playing golf and soccer this summer*

*They just finished attending a full week of adventure camp where they hiked, golfed, ice skated, kayaked, swam, surfed, and had and awesome time. I wish I could have gone.*

* I thought we had escaped the hot weather by living surrounded by trees. The house does not get too hot but being outside we are getting eaten up by bugs. So currently our days are spent playing inside, with lots of games and art activities.*

*Harkin is rolling over and over*

* My favorite time of day right now is early mornings when the tiny bug(Harkin) wakes up and likes to talk to his Mama and Daddy is the sweetest little voice*

*Wonder every day how time goes by so quickly and trying my best to enjoy every moment*

*Making our own popsicles*

*Laughing at Jax, when he gets his own dogsicle( an ice cube). He thinks they are the grandest things.*

** The tiredness has really begun to set in.**

**Harkin gained 6 ounces in 3 days.**

**Harkin's umbilical cord fell off last night! He has the cutest little belly button.**

**I went for a walk with Jaxson and Harkin up the big hill, and it felt wonderful. We are still trying to get the sling thing down though.**

**The big boys went skiing all by themselves, no adult with them, they felt pretty cool. They checked in with Eric every few runs and had a walkie talkie with them the whole day.**

** I haven't left our property for 6 days now and it doesn't bother me. I love just being at home and hanging out with my boys. Doing things in the house. Playing, creating, cleaning, cooking, resting, etc.**

**Jaxson is becoming a big dog. He has a very loud bark when he sees the maple sugaring guys out in the woods. He wants to do his job and protect us. What a good boy he is.**

**My knitting needles have been wondering where I am lately. I can read while nursing but haven't mastered knitting. There are so many projects waiting for me. Hoping when Harkin is napping and I'm not I can put everything else aside and just knit.**.

**Loving the warmer weather we have been having lately but wondering how the Winter went by so quickly.**

**Could spend my entire day holding Harkin and just staring at his cute little face. Loving having a newborn and would do it all again in a heartbeat.**

**Smiles to all**

**We had frozen pipes last week with the cold snap. Eric spent an entire evening, up until 12:00 getting them to work. Now we have a big hole in the wall in the bathroom but at least we can get at the pipes easier.**

** Jaxson had his first bath in our tub. We were gone for a long time and the poor baby had an accident in his crate. I felt so badly for him having to sit in poop. He seemed to enjoy the tub though. Just let us wash him up and didn't move around too much.**

**Landon lost his second tooth. The Tooth Fairy apparently can't fly when it is below zero because she missed a night, but made up for it the following evening.**

**We got new stools for the counter so now we can sit and do projects closer to the fire. The boys love having their snack there as well.**

**The baby turned around! We are very happy about that. Only two more weeks to go. I just can't wait.**

**Had family movie night recently and ate popcorn for dinner.**

**William is going through a rough patch at the moment and keeps forgetting or losing things wherever he goes. We are trying to come up with ways to help him be a bit more responsible for his stuff.**

**Books I am reading: Help,Thanks,Wow: The Three Essential Prayers
The Simple living Guide**

**Eric's been working late to accumulate time when the baby comes. We have missed him this past week.**

**Got my knitting groove back. I usually end my day by knitting. It feels so good.**

**Still in awe that I am going to be Mom a third time around. So grateful for answered prayers.**

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

* The weather had warmed up a bit but now the cold temps are back- 8* and suppose to be getting lower as the week goes on.*

* Found that taking Jaxson for a walk right after breakfast is the best thing for all of us. He runs around like a crazy dog, then we come in and he crashes and is a pretty well behaved dog for the rest of the day.*

* It takes me almost 15 minutes just to get everyone dressed and ready to head out into the cold these days. We have to bundle up tight. I especially seem to have a hard time. My belly gets in the way while trying to put on snow pants and boots.*

* Been finding lots of neat tracks while out in woods. Love learning about what is living around us.*

* The boys have been building a blacksmith camp under the pine tree grove.*

* Finding that I need to do all my active things in the morning, by mid-afternoon I am really tired.*

* Back to my knitting. Working hard on a few things for baby and finished up a few baby gifts recently.*

* Been baking almost every day. William made apple crisp yesterday by himself.*

* Everyone is getting excited for Grammy and Grampy's visit in a few weeks. They are coming to help when the baby is born. Yeah!*

* Been getting up earlier since the light is coming back and it has made a huge difference in my days.*

* Love listening to my boys play and create make believe worlds together.*

* Wishing you a  lovely week, wherever it may take you. *

**loving my bread making class. connecting with some really nice people and learning new bread techniques**

**holding my boys just a little bit longer each day, loving them always and forever**

**The boys went skiing for the first time last Saturday.**

**We have gotten snow every day this week. Finally feeling like Vermont.**

**The boys are taking a building class together and William is taking a digital photography class that he is loving.**

**Did I ever tell you we had mice?? Eric has caught 5 of them and they seem to no longer want to be around. I haven't seen any signs in over a week.**

**Realizing that I am just not the morning person I would love to be. I like to sleep in my cozy bed.**

**Getting ready for the month of December. Hoping to accomplish a lot of fun crafting this month with the boys.**

**Trying my best to keep the holidays simple. simple. simple.**

**Wanting to learn about maple sugaring and hoping we can tap a few trees this February in our yard.**

**Loving selling things on eBay, especially when a set of ornaments (smurfs) I had from my childhood sold for $120.00. Knowing I really do not need these things anymore and how we can use that money for more family oriented activities.**

**Love laying with Jaxson all curled up on my pillow, but still missing my girl terribly.**

**Thinking I should get started on a baby blanket very soon.**

Have a lovely weekend!

**Discovered Jaxson weighs only 8 pounds.**

**Received my letter from the state of Vermont, letting me know our home study program has been approved. Feeling relieved that is all done with for now.**

**William made yummy corn muffins with raspberry preserves all by himself this week.**

**Still trying to declutter things- putting stuff on eBay.**

**Working on getting the boys on a ski team for the Winter.**

** Feeling a bit more tired each day as my belly grows**

**Started studying Early American History with Beautiful Feet books and am loving it. Reading great literature, discussing some key points, relating them to our own character, and coloring a picture. Boys are really enjoying it so far.**

**Have been discussing Thanksgiving and deciding that our menu will sway far from traditional. It's only the 4 of us and a whole turkey will just end up getting wasted. We are thinking of smoking ribs. Everyone loves them and they are tasty leftovers.**

**Wondering where another week went? Trying to savor each day and moment more and more.**

fragments

**Today is a rainy day. I'm tired. Not sleeping too well. We stayed home and worked on more organizing and moving stuff. Got the attic completely organized. Have somewhat gotten my studio area set.**

**William made banana bread all by himself. I was in the attic. We had made one together yesterday, which got eaten already, so today he made a fresh batch all by himself. How awesome is that?**

**The boys played out in the rain, loving the stream which is flowing rapidly.**

**Discovered that Jay Peak is only 30 minutes away. So we have a nice choice of skiing to pick from this Winter.**

**Learned that our town only has a population of 1,300 people.**

**Been working hard on filling out paperwork for homeschooling. The regulations in Vermont are different than Connecticut.**

**We did end up buying a new car. Eric is so excited as it is a Jeep, something he has been wanting for a long time. I will drive it through the Winter until we are able to get another car that is a bit bigger. However, I am enjoying driving it myself so I may not to want to give it up:)**

**Have not picked up my knitting needles in over a month. I have so many projects I want to make. Need to get cracking.**

**The boys spent an hour this morning working in their Circle Journals.  William wrote two pages. I love when it is their idea and they thoroughly enjoy doing them.**

**Love that Eric is home every night for dinner. Something we have not had in a long time while he is working. I think this is one of the best perks of his new job.**

Have a lovely weekend!!!
