birthday #17

My first born turned 17 last weekend. Time is going by way too fast. My sweet William is young man. Bittersweet for this Mama's heart. I am glad that we have had these past three months to slow down a little bit and I have tried to relax more and just be with him.

Anyhow we took them to a mountain biking trail. Landon and Will went off on their own while Eric and I walked with Harkin and Izzy rode her bike for a bit. Harkin is currently without a bike which we are hoping to change soon.

William had a great time on the trails and was able to video himself so we got to see what they rode. We came home and chilled out. Had a dinner of BLT's and french fries and then Banana splits for his desert this year.

I am so very proud of my young man. He is a sweet loving kid with a great sense of humor and passion for all things related to comics/superheros and soccer.  We are so happy that you still enjoy being with your family even though at times we make you crazy. Love you always and forever.

river walk

Out for our weekly hike. We are trying some new places and everyone did a super job as this was a bit longer than normal and had some steep climbs. Big brothers were encouraging to little feet that started to get tired and there was even a piggy back ride at the end.

crafty little weekend

I have finally cleaned out my area in the office so that I have space to create.
Last weekend we put it to good use. I made a pillow for Landon , a tooth fairy pillow for Harkin- he lost his second tooth this week, so it was perfect timing. Then Izzy and I made two little peg people for her, a princess and a  knight. We have lots of projects planned for the summer, which I am excited about!

super hot days

We had a bit of a heat wave last week with temps reaching 95*. Big brother William came to the rescue and made a slip and slide. They all had a blast and were able to cool off for a few hours. It is so much fun to watch them when they all get along happily and can still play nicely together.
