This has been a process that started last week. Everyday the boys have added to it and we keep getting new snow on top of it. It seems to snow every day . Loving it!
rock climbing
Today we met up with a group of homeschoolers to do some climbing. The boys had a great time and didn't want to leave. I forgot to check if it was auto belay or not. It wasn't. But I did a pretty good job. It didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. The boys were great and always asking if I was OK. They definitely want to go back- soon! Some pictures were taken by me but mostly by the boys as I was busy belaying.

Little moments of the week that make up our everyday lives. I am trying to capture more of these moments and remember them as the good stuff.
the long awaited ladder post
Eric, with the help of the boys built a new ladder up to the loft in their room. This was done a few weeks ago but I just never got up there with my camera to take a picture. The ladder that was here was just way to shaky and unsafe so Daddy made it better. (as always) :)
a new year's day hike
We tried out a local forest today for a beautiful first day hike. It was wonderful to be in the woods as always. The snow was a bit deep, we are thinking snow shoes may be in order sometime soon. The fresh air always makes me feel so much more alive and healthier. A good start to a new year!
the past four days
The past four days have found us spending lots of time outside. From skiing to sledding to hiking to building forts. It has been fun and once we are done we have come inside to warm up and share a good meal, play a few games and just relax together. I love the feeling that we don't have to do something. We can just take the day as it comes.
