'mingo bee
Dressing up is a huge part of our day at the moment. It usually happens after dinner so all the brothers and daddy can share in the fun. Eric dubbed her the flamingo bee which became- " 'mingo bee".
at play
Enjoying their toys and our new to us castle that was gifted to us by some dear friends. We are so in love with this. I have always wanted one since Will was little but just out of our price range. Now some friends have outgrown theirs and our two little ones have the lucky gift!
thanksgiving day
A day at home. Playing outside. Lunch of antipasta (Will ate a hot pickle!). Some rest and games. Dinner: beef wellington, cesar salad, roasted potatoes, cranberry sauce, creamed onions, kale casserole, cauliflower gratin and pumpkin pie.
We are pretty casual around here but this year I made it special and used some of the my grandmother's china. Harkin liked them so much the next day he wanted to keep using them. He said they were so pretty. My sweet boy:)
sledding and snow days
We have had a dusting of snow almost every day this week. Although it was barely covering the ground it was possibly to do some sledding and have races too. The nights got cold that the snow was icy in the morning. And all wanted to get out as soon as possible to have a little fun.
first snow 11-10-17
We had our first snow of the season. It was just a dusting but everyone was super excited and wanted to spend the day outside. Thankfully we had a break in the hunting season and could head into the woods for a walk. The two big ones stayed behind to work on their fortress in the woods while we headed up the hill. It was a cold one but so invigorating to be out in the fresh air. The fires have started, along with the splitting and stacking of wood. So we are almost officially into winter!
trick or treat
Halloween night found us in town walking quite a bit more this year than we have in the past. The two mouse's were very excited about the whole thing and the two big brothers were sweet and helpful to make it fun. Candy was eaten and shared and all was well.
