Sweet Home Days

Harkin has been loving to create lately and Issabelle wants to be right in the action. This time it was painting and I do believe this might have been her very first time with real paints and a paint brush. She was so excited and had oh, so much fun.

lazy days begin

I love the summer days at home where we are in and out all day long. Moving from one activity to another. Baking, swimming, playing and then the moments of calm when we create and read. I have been cleaning out the art cabinet and all the kids were so excited to make collages yesterday. This was Issabelle's first time with glue and it was going fine until she decide to eat it. She had fun sticking things on to her fish though. Harkin had so much fun and wants to do more every day he told me.

Ending the day was a good hour of fun in the sandbox.

hot summer fun

The weekend was super hot and sticky. We cooled off with a dip in the pool and an awesome water balloon fight with Daddy. After they had gotten daddy several times, he launched them in the air and the boys would try to catch them. They were so happy when the balloons did not break because then they could run up to daddy and get him wet again. Everyone had such a good time.

I did not get wet since I had my camera strapped around me. Good one, huh?

special night out

Eric took a few days off last week and wanted to go out to dinner with all of us. We tried a new to us place which had some pretty awesome food. We had fun checking out the grounds after dinner. There was a big game of chase on the ramps for a bit. We had lots of laughs during dinner and on the way home. Daddy always makes it a good time. My kiddos look so big and dress up pretty nice!

spring soccer

All the boys wanted to play spring soccer. Unfortunately there weren't enough kids in William's age group to make a team, so he will wait until the fall. Landon and Harkin have been playing for the past 6 weeks or so. Harkin was so excited to have his very own soccer practice. He plays hard for the first half an hour and then the last 15 minutes he gets tired and usually has to be coaxed to play. But it has been fun watching him. Landon has done great with his team and his having lots of fun.
