sweet memories

Every day there are small moments that I want to hold onto forever. These are the sweetest moments of our week.

Listening to Harkin giggle. It is the cutest giggle. He giggles when William makes crazy faces or swings his arms wildly around. Then there was the time Landon and I were playing with the beach ball and it accidentally landed on his belly. oh, did he laugh like crazy. So we did it again. again. again. and again.

The excitement Will got over the books he found at the library.  4 new books in a series he has been wanting to read. He couldn't get over the fact that he had found them all. He was super thrilled. Then came home and read 3 of them- (350 pages each) in 5 days. There were a few late nights.

Waking up at 4:30am to the sweetest softest voice just kinda singing/talking to Mama and Daddy for a bit, before he rolls over and goes back to sleep.

William telling Landon that he is really good at creating things and maybe he could do something with the bark he pulled off of a branch. Landon replying that he wasn't sure what he would do with it yet as nothing had "come to him". He had to think about it for a bit.

Landon sitting down to plan out a lean-to. He drew the plans and numbered them and then went outside in the woods and built it with sticks and such. He was so excited to show everyone.

Standing in my neighbor's raspberry patch, just me and my boys, talking and laughing and enjoying so much being together. Then coming home and making fresh raspberry milkshakes and raspberry tarts.

Landon telling me how much fun he has washing the dishes. Waking up and having him ask me what chores he could do to help me through the day.

Watching Harkin go around in circles on his belly and then tire himself out and fall asleep without nursing. A rare occurrence.

The smiles the boys get from their tiny brother and how he leans into them when they come near. He so adores them.

Harking banging on the table or counter top while sitting in your lap.

Every time Harkin nurses one hands kinda pats my chest or rubs it back and forth. Then we will hold hands for awhile.

I am loving having this sweet baby. He is growing so quickly it scares me. I want to sop time and hold onto it forever, but then again things are good at every age, just as my big boys are showing me every day.

  3. I know exactly how you feel! The days pass way too quickly for my liking. I am so grateful that I get to spend each and every day with my girls. It makes the quickly passing time a little easier to handle! :)
