fishing festival

Izzy and I attended a local fishing festival. They had different learning stations where she learn about specific fish, do a craft, learn to tie knots and cast a fishing rod. She was very into all of it. She then had the opportunity to fish for awhile. She did not catch anything that day but on our way out they gave her a brand new fishing pole since sha had spent the whole day there. Her luck is still with her. Now we have to find some places to go fishing.

 We spent this ridiculously hot day,  95 degrees,  at one of Vermont's beautiful state parks. Thank goodness for friends with boats and toys. The kids spent the afternoon on the boat taking turns in this awesome tube. They had a blast and were very suntanned and tired by the time we got home tonight.
