there was a birthday

This seems like so long ago when it was only a few short weeks. April has seem to go on forever, but that is another story. Anyhow we had a wonderful day celebrating our sweet Landon who is now 15 and has his learners permit and is practicing driving already!!

We went to a virtual game place where they could play all sorts of games on the screen. They all seemed to enjoy it and then we were home to dinner, pie and a movie.

He is towering over his mother but will always be my sweet landini chili bean. Love you always.

A perfect after dinner family time event. We have been making bonfires for a few nights now but the fun of smores was added tonight!

scenes from april days

 We have been truckin' along. The days were warm for a bit and we spent hours outside playing and raking and getting new chairs!!! 

There also have been rainy and snowy days still that have brought us inside to create and play some more.

chinese noodles

 Since we had been studying china Izzy wanted to make a recipe that goes along with that. She made us all noodles last night and it was perfect for eating outside by the bonfire. We are loving this new little space of ours.

Today started out great as these lovely baskets were left upon our doorstep last night by our wonderful neighbors. The kids and Jax were thrilled!!

After finishing our morning work we headed out to enjoy the sunshine. Will went to the soccer field to practice and we headed to a local bike trail. Then spent a few minutes at the playground. This was the first time they had been on a playground in over a year and a half. So crazy to think that.

 Landon and Eric were able to make a table this weekend to be used as a work table to build on. He was getting too big for the floor. This gives him plenty of space to spread out and a little bit more storage.
