melted crayon rocks

We borrowed another idea from The Artful Parent today.  I had been wanting to do this for a long time but we didn't have too many rocks in our backyard in CT. Now we have a plethora! (new vocab word for the boys while creating:).

It was really cool to see the wax melt and oh, so smooth. We did have a few fingers that got burnt so be very careful!

  3. The hurricane washed up some beautiful rocks onto the beach. I am going to let the girls gather some and do this one snowy or rainy inside day. I am wondering how I could then put words onto the rocks......I probably can't. These would make a gorgeous centerpiece inside a big glass jar. I think today is supposed to be rainy.......

    1. Actually I think if you use a sharpie marker after the crayon harden you can write some words on them. I was planning on trying that out ourselves.
